What Does the PTO Use the Money For?
Since 2005, our auction has raised almost $100,000 for our school!
Our auction dollars are vital in funding our PTO programs and school events, educational assemblies, library books, field trips, school equipment/supplies, technology in the classroom and so much more.
Each and every child, teacher and staff member is impacted by the money raised through our wonderful auction! See the chart (left) for a breakdown of how the PTO uses the money raised.
Dine and Donate
Dine and donate is a fun and easy way to raise fund for Charlestown. All you do is enjoy a nice meal out with your family and Charlestown gets a percentage of the bill. Simple as that. We are scheduling the dine and donates purposely on different days of the week to allow families with set calendars to have the opportunity to attend.

Amazon Smile-‐ (year round)
Charlestown Elementary is a member of the Amazon Smile program. AmazonSmile is the same Amazon you know, with the same products, same prices and same service. Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to Charlestown Elementary PTO whenever you shop on AmazonSmile. Click HERE and sign in with your Amazon account. Shutterfly/Lifetouch – (year round)

Box Tops – (year round)
Encourage students and families to clip and collect Box Top logos from participating General Mills products. Box Tops will be transitioning to a mobile app this year! In the meantime please continue to clip Box Tops on current products AND download the free mobile app to scan store receipts. We have the potential to earn DOUBLE this year as they phase out the paper Box Tops. If you shop online you can forward receipts to

Elementary Connections – (year round)
You will receive a small brochure from Elementary Connections a few times throughout the school year. The brochure will provide advertisements from local businesses that are geared toward children of elementary age. The PTO will receive a percentage of all advertisement fees.
Giant A+ School Rewards -‐ (mid-August thru March)
Visit giantfoodstores.com and select “SIGN IN” at the top right to log into your online account or “REGISTER” a new account. Once logged in, select “MY ACCOUNT”, followed by “MANAGE MY ACCOUNT”, then “REWARDS & SAVINGS” to select your school.
You’ll need your 11-digit BonusCard® number and the School ID number. If you need assistance, call 1-888-814-4268 option 1.
To earn points: Use your registered BonusCard® each time you shop at any Giant, and you will earn CASH for our school.

Every other year our major fundraising event for the school is the Auction. The evening will provide parents and friends of the school an opportunity to purchase fabulous live and silent auction items, while making a great contribution to our children's educational experience.
The online directory is your link to the other families at Charlestown. Data is collected via online entries. At Back to School Night everyone who purchases online access will be able to view the directory anytime, anywhere, on ANY internet connected device. In the month of May has Charlestown hosts a spring fair with music, games and prizes! Buy a chance for a terrific raffle prize, enjoy a delicious meal, and catch up with all of your CT friends. Many volunteers are needed for this event. The Chairpersons act as a liaison with the administrators and school staff. They manage the coordinators of the games and prizes, food, raffle, tickets, etc. It is the event that all of the children look forward to!
