Hi! I'm a proud mom of a 4th grader at Charlestown and have loved being part of this community over the past few years. From serving as a lead parent to two years on the PTO board, each experience has deepened my appreciation for the warmth and welcoming atmosphere here and the way the school's pillars of character make a real difference for our children.
Professionally, I work as a physician and clinical informaticist, and I'm excited to bring my organization, problem-solving and data skills to the president role.
This year, my big focus is on making it easier for more families to get involved. Whether you have an hour or an afternoon, I want every parent to feel like there's a meaningful way to contribute. This school community is something special, and I can't wait to build on it together!
Hi everyone! My name is Lauren Langhauser. I'm a mom of four, including two current Charlestown Elementary students and two future students, and a former project manager. I'm currently in the process of starting a small custom cookie business and love combining creativity, organization, and community involvement to help create fun and meaningful experiences for families. I'm excited for the opportunity to serve on the PTO Board and support the students, staff, and families that make Charlestown such a special community.
I'm Rebecca Kurth, mom to Jamie (First Grade) and Sawyer (incoming Kindergartener). I served the last two years on the PTO as the Corresponding Secretary and loved getting to know teachers/staff/other families through the different hospitality events. I'm doing a one year extension in the 2nd VP role.
Hello! My family moved to the area in 2020, and we're excited to continue being part of the Great Valley School community as our oldest enters first grade this year. Over the past year, we've loved getting to know so many wonderful families, teachers, and staff, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to stay involved with the PTO as the incumbent Treasurer. I've worked as an aerospace engineer for the past 16 years and enjoy applying my experience in data processing and program management to support our school community. I'm passionate about giving back and helping create a positive and engaging experience for our students, families, and teachers. I'm looking forward to another great year together!

I moved to Pennsylvania in 2019 from South Florida, and have been a member of the Charlestown Elementary community for several years, with an outgoing fourth grader (crazy!) and a second grader for the 2026/2027 school year.
I previously served the PTO as both Assistant Treasurer and Corresponding Secretary, and I'm excited to return as Assistant Treasurer with the new board.
My family and I live on and care for a small hobby farm in Malvern and I spend most of my time feeding animals, weeding, cleaning up after animals, weeding, paying animal bills, and weeding! The responsibilities of the Assistant Treasurer position are a nice break in that routine.
Hi, I'm Caitlin Nikolayevsky, mom of current 5th grader Andrew and 3rd grader Lily. I'm excited to be on the Charlestown Elementary PTO Board as Corresponding Secretary! My family has been part of the Charlestown community for the past four years, and with two years left at the school, I'm excited to step into a new volunteer role. As a former kindergarten teacher and current preschool teacher, education and school community have always been important to me. I recently cycled off as a volunteer GVSD Parent Key Communicator, so now I'm looking forward to supporting the Charlestown community.

I was born and raised in NJ, lived in NY/NYC for 8 years (then back to NJ). I worked in Manhattan for 15 years, 14 of those managing regulatory compliance for a large private equity/hedge fund. I retired early to move to PA in the summer of 2019 to have more of a hands on role with my kids (4th and 8th grades) and take on volunteer opportunities. I have been on the PTO for CTE from 2023-2025, am currently one of the Box Tops For Education Coordinators, hold several positions with the Girl Scouts of Eastern PA, am registered with Scouting America, actively volunteer within the school district across several schools and am the creator and/or administrator for several school and community Facebook groups.
